Limited Edition Art X 2013 Commemorative Poster

389-artx-1

From Warhol to Mr. Bingo, screen printing is inextricably linked with fine art and posters from creators who don’t mind shaking it in your face. (Hmmm, the twerking of print media?) And this limited-edition commemorative poster from Trent Design gets right up in there with big, bold shapes and industrial-tuned lettering.

At the risk of repeating ourselves, you can make a BIG design impact printing with one ink on a colored stock. This is a superb example that uses black on French Paper Pop-Tone RazzleBerry – dramatic and eye-catching.

The designer used the X in the ArtX Detroit logo to form a puzzle of sorts. Deconstructing the letter, she created new shapes and then meticulously placed the pieces to reinforce the idea of many different types of art coming together to form one grand event. The dot treatment gives a screened back look that adds depth and dimension.
