Carlos Serrao Mailers

I’ll admit to an undying love affair with photography. And these Carlos Serrao mailers are the kinds of self-promotion pieces that transcend their commercial enterprise to a place of artistic expression.

The outer sleeves/mailers are done on Eames Painting Canvas, which immediately conveys a limited-edition presence with its canvas texture. There are two sets: one for fashion photography with its cover printed in a creamy shade and one for sports photography with its cover done in a tawny brown.

A debossed square on the front of each sleeve serves as a frame for an applied printed image, the first you see that hints at what’s to come.

Inside, beautiful mini posters printed top and bottom on Astrolite Silk display the accomplished work of this creative photographer. The front/back pairs tell interesting stories in themselves … the image of a Zen-like Michael Phelps floating on top of the water, arm reaching up in mid-backstroke paired with the image of a female swimmer underwater, shot from the side, her arm extended as if reaching up through the water toward Phelps on the other side.

There simply aren’t enough posters and mini-posters done today. They’re such an artful expression and a perfect way to show how images will translate onto the printed page.

Carlos Serrao Mailers was featured as a Paper Inspiration.
