This designer went on a flight of fancy for the client’s save-the-date card. And what better motif for a destination wedding in Puerto Rico than a boarding pass?
The size and diecut shape are spot on, but what really sets this project apart is that subtle pattern in the background. A blind hit from the letterpress on the 110 lb. Mohawk Loop Felt Cover adds this wonderful leathery texture and an air of authenticity.
Script initials used as the “airline logo” give a soaring feeling to the san serif, all-cap typeface that grounds this piece. The copy is cute too: Departing From: Singledom … Ticket Class: True Love. Including a perf for the stub on the far left side was fun and insightful, too. This enables you to tear off the date of the wedding and put it on the fridge or in your calendar.
AJ Airways Save the Date was featured as a Paper Inspiration.
