samsung_origamiPaper is pleasing to the touch. Paper is versatile. And when subjected to the ancient art of origami, paper can be extraordinarily resilient, too.

A personal laser printer aptly named The Origami features an exterior made entirely of 100% recycled paper, and won a Gold award from IDSA’s 2013 International Design Excellence Awards for its innovation.

Designed by Min-chui Kim, Sang-in Lee and Seung-wook Jeong at Samsung Electronics, the Origami houses the usual printer engine and toner in a cardboard skin that is made just as strong as hard plastic, thanks to the way it is folded.
