Neenah Paper’s Expansion

Remember that classic episode of “The Brady Bunch” when we anxiously waited to see which children from the two families would be merged, renamed or abandoned? Well, it’s been like that since Neenah acquired FiberMark back in July. This week Neenah began to tease us with official word on what that acquisition will mean for their lines, which naturally got us pretty excited. Sayeth the company, “Newly expanded capabilities include specialty coatings and finishing with a focus on custom work.” And here are the first actual product details via the Neen’:

touche

Touché Papers: “A soft, matte finish offering a softness similar to a rose petal, ideal for premium and luxury brands.”

suedetex

SuedeTex Papers: “A rich soft texture that simulates leather, providing unlimited creative potential.”

Also in the works:

  • Neenah Folding Board & Box Wrap: Featuring 58 new stocked items, plus endless finish, texture and color combinations that can be manufactured to your specific needs.
  • Custom Make Capabilities: Enhanced specialty coating and finishing capabilities immediately provide Neenah’s customers with the opportunity for new tactile finishes and other variations to expand branding possibilities.”

We will continue to follow every development in this new era of Neenah with the zeal and obsession many have devoted to the run-up to next year’s presidential election. The difference being, of course, that with our obsession everybody wins.
