Merry Mixmas Cards

386-mixmas-1

Deeply rooted in the culture of its San Francisco home, Noise 13 designed a set of holiday postcards that pay homage to the city and show off the collective talents of this team project. Humor and high style imbue every inch of these letterpress gems.

Printed on tactile Crane’s Lettra, the color palette was well planned. Using red and a turquoise blue, there are areas of overlap that render as a soft black giving some of the cards a three-color illusion.

The illustrations are fun and full of personality. You can see originality from the Village People-esque nutcracker to the reindeer riding bicycles.  Catchy copy factors into the success of the set as well. I can’t pick a favorite because they were all so cute, but “Two Eyes Made Out of TCHO” and “He Sees You When You’re Sightseeing” are at the top of my list.

Blending quintessential San Francisco characters and scenes with iconic holiday stories and images make them perfect Merry Mixmas greetings.
