The Dangers of Discount-logos

(This comes after debate earlier this week concerning the use of Squarespace’s logomaking application.) In the story, a library was proudly showing off their new logo to a distinguished artist – it had been created through the website LogoArena. We’ll let this excerpt from the Daily Hampshire Gazette’s story detail what happened next:

“He had arrived early for the meeting about the awards and as he and Sharry chatted, she showed him the logo. It was a fancy script J in a blue and green block.

DiTerlizzi cringed. “I said to her, well, the reason you guys like this is that it looks like another logo.”

The other logo in question…that of Holiday Inn Express (pictured above).
