Design for Disaster Relief

relief_125As the people of The Philippines continue to dig themselves out from the hell left by Typhoon Haiyan, we’re reminded (yet again) of just how fragile and temporary our lives are. And while we may not possess the medical or disaster recovery skills necessary to have a direct impact on the rescue effort, we can still do something.

As Creative Bloq points out, these 10 designers are selling their works to raise money for relief efforts. We urge you to visit the site, find something that strikes your fancy, and get a few more bucks heading The Philippines’ way. Better yet, skip the middle man and donate directly to the Red Cross. Are you selling off some of your own work to help? By all means let us know and we’ll get the word out there.

Just please do consider doing something. We moan about traffic and crappy clients and all the rest, but every once in a while we catch a glimpse of the real wolf at the door. If we’re lucky, it’s just a glimpse…and so many of us are very lucky indeed.
