Weekly Quiz: Name This Opening Option

Answer: Zip-Strip!

But be warned – it’s very similar to another type of opening option: the Pull-Strip.

You know Pull-Strips (or Pull-Tabs) from FedEx boxes and more sturdy envelopes. While the path to open the box or envelope is perforated, the actual tab you pull on is strengthened with a back lining. The lining allows for easy opening of the piece.

Zip-Strips, on the other hand, are fun mechanisms that work like paper zippers. Beyond a simple opening mechanism, they can be used to create fun and simple visual tricks that further engage the recipient.
