Zephyrfest 2013: A Moroccan Experience

289-zephyrfest-1

What would it take, visually speaking, to transport you to an exotic location (Morocco, say) for the evening? Rich paper, metallic inks, intricate laser diecutting, evocative images? This incredible invitation package for an annual fundraising gala is a first-class ticket to such a place … the land of design ahhhhhh.

The number of moving parts that comprise the suite could have easily tripped up a less talented team, but this designer creates a flawlessly cohesive and exciting result.

There is a seamless blending of lovely papers (Mohawk Loop Antique Vellum in Coco, Gruppo Cordenons Stardream Bluebell, Neenah Eames Pacific Blue, Gruppo Cordenons Ivolution) and unconventional printing techniques. Subtle undertones of layered metallic PMS colors add depth to the rich coco paper. A blue foil treatment matches perfectly to the bluebell paper.

My favorites … the exquisite lasered diecuts, which greatly impact the design with intricate detail and three-dimensional shadowing … Moroccan patterns and handcrafted architecture that inspire the diecut edges and windows throughout the various pieces.

Zephyrfest 2013: A Moroccan Experience was featured as a Paper Inspiration.
