MCA Luminocity Gala Invite 2014

[youtube=http://youtu.be/SibWhVKVecQ]

Step right up! With extraordinary paper engineering, distinctive fine art illustrations, show-stopping fluorescent orange ink, and expert attention to detail, EBD has done it again – created a keepsake invitation for Denver’s Museum of Contemporary Art annual fundraising gala.

Inspired by the illustration style of artist Mark Mothersbaugh, the invite takes us right into the storied carnivals and sideshows of days gone by.

A diecut tent has been engineered to pop out for delightful dimension. Using interactive appeal, a tiny grommeted wheel on top spins for kaleidoscopic fun. Soft touch aqueous coating on the Endurance Gloss Cover produces a feel as sweet as cotton candy. A clever pocket on the back of the invite houses the necessary cards and envelope.

The eclectic mix of subject matter gleaned from Mothersbaugh’s art is unified perfectly throughout all the elements. I loved the clear box packaging and the wonderful storytelling effect of the stepped, accordion folded piece.
