Cousins Design Business Cards

From solo design studios to large agencies, there’s one thing the best designs have in common – an ability to use one technique to its fullest potential. That taking of a simple concept or single process and transforming it into a printed piece we just can’t put down.

Cousins Design manipulated positive and negative space to create their beautiful business cards. Thick dark grey GF Smith Colorplan is printed in one color (metallic silver). The silver catches the light, and for an instant, I was searching for a fine mesh screen. In reality, a series of fine dots has been letterpress printed.

The elements come together to give the impression of an embossed logo and company name. Vibrant red edge painting brings life and energy to the subdued and masculine palette.
