Engraved + Debossed Wert&Co. Business Cards

When, like Wert & Company, you’re a recruiting agency for creatives that’s made placements for companies ranging from Google to Disney, you have to be able to convince potential clients you “walk the talk” when it comes to creativity. And if you can hand them a guaranteed conversation starter the moment you’re introduced, you’re well on your way.

With a remit to refresh Wert&Co.’s branding to reflect the next chapter in their history, Stitzlein Studio reasoned that the recruitment agency is really in the relationship-building business.

To communicate this, they chose to emphasize all the possibilities packed in that little ampersand in the Wert&Co. name. Nowhere is this more apparent, nor more fun, than in their redesigned business card.

Produced by Franklin Press, the front of the card is disarmingly clean and elegant thanks to the use of engraving, with the employee’s contact details and corporate identity all in Gray. Well, all except for their name and that ampersand, which announces itself cheekily in Orange.

However, it’s only when you flip the card over that you get the full “ampersand experience.”

There you find 18 hand-drawn versions in all, each Blind Debossed into that soft Neenah Cotton surface, lending the piece a tactile quality impossible to resist.

A flood of custom Orange ink over the entire back of the card makes it an unforgettable treat for the eyes as well as the fingertips.

To cleverly hide the bruising of the debossed ampersands, the front and back of the cards were individually printed on 110 lb. Neenah Cotton Fluorescent White Cover stock and then duplex laminated for that extra substantial, double-thick oomph.

This combination of “business in the front and party in the back” is sure to get creatives talking – perfect for cementing future relationships!

And as you can imagine, these unique ampersands were simply too fun and eye-catching to be relegated to business cards alone.

The bespoke symbol, in a variety of sizes, graces everything from the cover of the recruitment “Candidate Guide” and a sporty tote bag – in that playful Orange brand color – to…

…a onesie! And printed on the front of that infant apparel? What else: “Hide & Seek!” 😉
