In the Design Studio: Intricate Parfumerie

The packaging concept was enticing. The foil stamping divine. The color story…  No matter how elegant and beautifully wrought the piece, it seems that too often we’re presented with images of a finished product that leave us asking: How did they do that? That leave us wondering what went on behind the scenes.

This was something we wanted to remedy with “In the Design Studio,” a new short-video series. And while our first inclination was to keep it exclusively for PaperSpecs PRO members, we felt the first episode – a look at the creation of the colorful Peacock Parfumerie packaging – really should be available to everybody. Equal parts inspiration and explanation, this video captures the challenges and triumphs of pulling off a high-end design, all within a limited budget.

As this is the first episode in a series, we’d love to hear what you think. Too long? Too short? Want to see more? Want us to take up needlepoint instead? Please send us your thoughts today.
