Weekly Quiz: What Does a ‘Gang Run’ in Printing Refer to?

Answer: Grouping print jobs together!

“Ganging up” or “gang-run” printing describes a printing method in which multiple printing projects are placed on a common paper sheet in an effort to reduce printing costs and paper waste. (The “make ready” process can take up to 250 sheets alone.) Gang runs are popular with full-color offset printing, but they are also useful in digital printing to utilize the sheet to its fullest and minimize waste.
