Free PaperSpecs Webinar
Evocative Presentation Folder Design
Thursday, July 16, 2015
2:00 p.m. Eastern (11:00 a.m. Pacific)

Ellen Bruss and Ken Garcia, of Denver’s multi-award winning EBD, join forces to share their best practices for creating exhilarative and compelling presentation folders—from concept to completion—in PaperSpecs’ upcoming free webinar, sponsored by Kallima® Paper.

Palo Alto, California – June 30, 2015 – The “paperless office” remains largely a myth, and the evocative designs that come from the Denver creatives at Ellen Bruss Design (EBD), are our collective consolation. One of the best ways a business can present its many documents effectively and attractively is through the use of presentation folders. When designed with the brand in mind, presentation folders strike the ideal balance between form and function.

Excellent presentation folder design highlights subtle elements that make an emotional connection with the customer. During Evocative Presentation Folder Design, the next free PaperSpecs webinar, EBD’s Ellen Bruss and Ken Garcia will outline the creative process behind designing exhilarative, custom presentation folders, from start to finish.

“The perfect product, service and solution may as well be invisible if it is unable to catch the eye of the client,” says Sabine Lenz, founder of PaperSpecs. “How a brand, event, service or business packages itself is critical to its overall success. Bespoke presentation folders are functional art, and when consideration to the end result is given from the outset, they are a remarkable, and even beautiful, tool.”

Guest Speaker
“Ellen is uniquely positioned to lead this webinar,” says Lenz. “Not only is she an exceptional designer, but her guiding philosophy, ‘Communication without Clutter’, embodies the best of what presentation folder design can be.”

Ellen is joined by Ken, EBD’s problem-solving native-Coloradan, and together they bring extensive experience in marketing strategy, advertising, corporate identities, marketing collateral, and product marketing. EBD’s strength is creating clear communication materials of extremely high quality and creativity, with the goal of creating pieces that are long lasting and memorable.

Webinar Highlights
During the webinar, Ellen Bruss and Ken Garcia will discuss the inspiration behind some of their award winning work, such as campaigns for the Museum of Contemporary Art Denver—for which they received four Hermes Creative Awards—and several luxury invitation projects that were recognized by the 2015 American Package Design Awards.

Highlights of this presentation include:

  • Function First: Why that Who, What and How are So Important
  • Capacity Questions: Determining if You Need it and How Much is Enough
  • Budget Advice: Creating Impact and Maximizing Sheet Sizes

EBD’s primary concentration on retail, residential and cultural clients allows it to exercise its talents across a wide range of work—branding, corporate identities, collateral, websites, environmental design, packaging and the occasional interior design project, when a client insists. Examples of the firm’s success can be found in hundreds of publications, nationally and internationally, including Communication Arts, Graphis, Print Magazine, Creative Quarterly, HOW International and GD USA, including the 2014 People to Watch issue.
