Eric Harvey Business Card

Remember when smartphone covers first came out and the more creative among us customized them? My niece covered hers with little “diamonds.” Her phone cover was a one-of-a-kind creation that instantly set her apart. Designer Eric Harvey has done that too by personalizing prêt-à-porter business cards.

Moo’s Luxe business cards are instantly recognizable now among designers – that decadent 32 pt. sandwich of Mohawk Superfine with its filling of contrasting color. But this design goes one giant step further and cleverly transforms a typical flat plane into a three-dimensional standout

Harvey hand applied a wax seal to each card taking care to allot enough space within the design for the unpredictable nature of the wax being pressed onto a surface that could potentially warp from excessive heat and pressure. (Several test prints ensured final success.)

To create an engaging but clean and professional look, the design uses a simple color palette and clean modern fonts. For more visual interest, he created a hand-lettered version of his signature and added a few illustrative elements.
