WSOP VIP Invitation

In a game of high-stakes design and printing, this invitation to a VIP party in celebration of the 2011 World Series of Poker hit the jackpot.

The color palette suited the theme perfectly: red and black of course. Slightly larger than a deck of cards, the outer carrier is thumbed notched for easy removal of the contents and is adorned with an embossed decorative playing card “lace” pattern and the title of the event on one side with the logo of bodog.net, the party host, on the other side.

Three pieces: the invitation, the admitting ticket and a dress code card were printed with solid red or solid black ink. The words were accomplished using the printer’s special coating, MET UV FX, creating a tone-on-tone, gloss-on-satin effect – type and decorative lace pattern in gloss and the background in satin on top of the solid ink color.

Dress code and invitation cards were triple laminated. The sandwich consisted of two slices of 130 lb. Topkote Gloss Cover with a filling of 80 pt. board. Custom edge painting in black bluffed beautifully – you’d think it was all one very hefty piece of stock.

What we can say except … we’re gonna hold ’em because you sure can’t fold ’em!
