Snowflakes make for a great motif at holiday time, but the in-house design team at Erie Insurance took an out-of-the-box (actually, an out-of-the-card) approach to produce a heavenly 2014 holiday greeting worth keeping.
Two starlike shapes were kiss diecut into the panels of the accordion-folded card. Once removed, the recipient slid the pieces together along a slit creating a three-dimensional snowflake ornament complete with tiny hole for hanging. Simple illustrations and clean type kept the overall look upbeat and updated.
The Esse Pearlized White paper added the kind of sparkle you’ll see when moonlight hits that new-fallen snow. The 105 lb. performed well and gave a luxurious quality. A molten, coppery-red spot color was an interesting and inspired choice for the season set against the silvery gray tones.
