Continuing a tradition of environmentally sensible products, Avery Dennison Label and Packaging Materials recently introduced a new collection of paper labels that carry the North American Forest Stewardship Council’s FSC seal of approval. Equally important, the labels are expected to cost about the same as those without such sterling eco-friendly qualifications.
The new labels feature three stocks commonly used in wine, spirits, dairy and food packaging:
- Fasson 54 lb. Semi-Gloss FSC
- Fasson Lightweight Dairy FSC
- Fasson Estate Label No. 8 FSC.
These offerings join similar environmentally responsible ones, such as Fasson Wash-Off labels that can be removed from bottles with no adhesive residue; MultiCycle two-layer labels that can withstand more than 30 wash cycles, dramatically reducing the number of labels hitting our landfills; and paper labels made from 10% to 100% post-consumer waste.
