Jameson St. Patrick’s Day Limited Edition Bottle

A collaboration between Pearlfisher and renowned Irish street artist James Earley, the design for Jameson’s 5th limited-edition St. Patrick’s Day bottle was inspired by the bridges crossing the River Liffey in Dublin. The design reflects how structures like this represent the soul of modern Dublin by linking spaces, people and ideas.

From both a production and a design standpoint, its label is exquisite in its detailing and finish. The choice to print James’ diamond-faceted graphics on Avery Dennison Pampa stock, which features its own small diamond embossed pattern, was an inspired one. The result is a label that’s both eye-catching and intriguing to the touch.

The multilayered foiling is a particular production feat with a detailed over-printing technique bringing life to the lantern and the varnished details. The labels were printed using flexography and lithography with six colors plus metallic ink, matte and gloss spot varnish, and gold foil.

“Having been inspired by his family’s stained glass business, which operated for more than 100 years in the heart of Dublin, Earley’s design represents the best of what it means to be Irish — to be part of a lighthearted, confident and inclusive family,” Pearlfisher Founding Partner and CCO Jonathan Ford says. The contemporary, graphic style label incorporates all Jameson’s assets in a fresh and exciting way that’s indicative of the innovation inherent in the brand at large.

“As a collaboration between Pearlfisher, Jameson and James Earley, this was a truly special project that was as celebratory of talent as it was of a certain time of year,” Ford says. “Pearlfisher felt truly privileged to work in such harmonious collaboration with one of Dublin’s foremost artistic figures.”
