TPAC 2012 Gala Invite

Taking flight with a 1960s Pan Am-inspired theme, this invitation for a nonprofit arts group showed ingenuity and finesse.

Using a #12 policy envelope is such a great way to get attention because of its unusual size (4.75 x 11). BTW, these are available readymade, have a cool round flap, and come in several color options.

The designers chose this particular envelope to fit the invite, which was styled to resemble a boarding pass. Combining all the details of the event with a perf-off RSVP card is practical and fun use of the space.

Hats off to the design team as well for their meticulous efforts in obtaining permission to use the Pan Am logo and elements from “Catch Me If You Can.” That’s the way to be professional!
