Here’s how it works.
First, you print your brochure, business card or poster offset or digital. Then, in a separate pass, run them through a digital enhancement press – Scodix Ultra Foil or MGI Jet Varnish 3D with iFoil – to add super-shiny foil.
The digital enhancement press lays down a polymer (think: adhesive) of your artwork, to which the foil will adhere.
Next, if you want to give it a raised, textured feel, your printer will use the digital system to print clear polymer on top of the foil in a second pass. Voila – a piece that feels as intriguing as it looks!
