This is actually a secondary binding technique, which means it works alongside another binding method, such as Smyth-sewn or perfect binding.
The book block is wrapped with a cloth, linen, or pre-printed paper strip.
Then a super-thick Kraft board or heavy cover stock is hand tipped on the front and back of your book, catalog, or brochure, giving it a wonderfully substantial feel!
And voila: a print piece that is chunky in all the right ways!
