The Mohawk Maker Quarterly No. 14

Must Have: Mohawk

Since its debut in 2013, The Mohawk Maker Quarterly has evolved from a celebration of the maker movement to a thoughtful, eye-catching art magazine designed to inspire print designers everywhere. At a whopping 224 pages its latest issue, No. 14, is the largest to date, and possibly its most ambitious.

Taking as its theme “Lead & Serve,” it celebrates those who pave the way by helping others find their paths. It also leaves us with this thought-provoking observation: “To channel yourself and your interests and point of view is to lead, but to put the needs of the project above your personal point of view is to serve. To balance both is to be a designer.”

Even more ambitious than its content are its paper and printing choices, including:

– A cover featuring debossing and clear foil

– Intriguingly edge painted pages

– Eight different shades of Mohawk paper

– Six different Mohawk papers in all.

Could you use some truly inspiring print design in your life?
