Ninety percent of success today seems to come down to simply getting out of your own way – don’t TELL when you can SHOW. Galvanic Graphic Group knows this. Rather than hitting their potential clients over the head with pages and pages of text detailing what they can do, they produced 500 copies of this no-nonsense booklet that lets their capabilities speak for themselves. “Form follows function,” the front cover declares, and goes on to demonstrate this for 12 lovely pages.
“Once the silicone dome label tab is pulled, the pages turn automatically, one at a time,” explains Galvanic Graphic Group Partner Elaine Gersten. “The opening spread has an image of a clock that spirals out and immediately engages the recipient. The textures of the coatings and Pantone colors selected are appealing and modern. Quotes [from famous people and characters] are paired with just the right images, and the clean overall design allows the recipient to view the sample pages without being overwhelmed.”
In other words, this is the printing equivalent of a pizza with everything on it:
Yet just because they’re showing clients what they can do doesn’t mean they can’t have fun while they’re doing it – clearly they did. Stylish demonstrations of gold foil stamping and other production feats culminate in its pièce de résistance: the aforementioned twirl-out, die-cut spiral clock that would be right at home in a Tim Burton film.
“It is a ‘less is more design’ with pizazz,” Elaine says. “Our brochure has been very well received by all and is a 2016 Sappi Paper Printer of the Year Silver Award Winner for Self Promotion.” She adds, quite unnecessarily as it turns out, “We hope YOU like it, too!”
