Invitation Only

Russian nesting dolls are such a fun concept. They build anticipation as you open each successively smaller layer to discover yet another element. This bit of inspiration served the Clampitt Paper invitation well. It’s also a brilliant example of how to combine one ink color with various richly textured stock to create a colorful and interesting piece.

Gold is the common thread that runs across the various jewel-toned stocks (Curious Skin Text in Pink, Indigo and Absynthe) and ties it all together. A gold starburst label on the first packet, gold ink throughout all packets, and gold foil stamping on the RSVP and invite cards (impressive in Reich Savoy 184 lb. Double Thick Cover) make the package bright and festive.

The designers used arrows, which appear on each of the three packets, to point the way toward the center invite cards. The simple folding technique makes you feel as if you’re unwrapping a special gift. Repeated floral patterns add whimsy and fun. Block and script typography selections are elegant without being fussy.

Invitation Only was featured as a Paper Inspiration.
