AIGA Gift Wrap Collection

[youtube=http://youtu.be/0aiXrZDVv1o]

What do you get when you mix fluorescent inks, festive designers, cash bar, exclusive venue, beautiful paper, photo booth, prizes, and games in the month of December? (Well, noooo, but close.) You get the 2013 holiday party for the New York chapter of AIGA and an orgy of gift wrap that we’re sure ended up being used as posters too.

Event organizers made good use of the talents of their board members to create the set of 11 individual designs. Each unique design was printed by DataGraphic with vibrant PMS 806U and 804U on a full sheet of 70 lb. Strathmore Premium Super Smooth Text.

All 11 sheets were collated, rolled and secured with a bellyband. The printer showed its creative side too by converting press makeready sheets into gift envelopes (also packaged in sets of 11 to accompany the wrap).

Those who purchased tickets to the party received the special gift wrap. Proceeds from the sale of the tickets benefitted the AIGA/NY High School Mentoring Program, which has connected designers and students in New York for over 20 years. Now that’s reason to celebrate!

Design Credits: AIGA, Su Barber, Ken Carbone, Adam Michaels and Glen Cummings, Etsy Brand Studio, Kiss Me I’m Polish LLC, Steff Geissbuhler, Manuel Miranda, Jesse Ragan, Josh Smith, Melanie Wiesenthal, Deerfield, Willy Wong
