The Sweet Strategy Behind OREO Cookies’ Personalized Packages
Thursday, February 11, 2016
2:00 p.m. Eastern (11:00 a.m. Pacific)

In PaperSpecs’ upcoming free webinar sponsored by HP Graphic Solutions Business, learn how OREO’s Colorfilled campaign turned cookie lovers into designers and how the techniques they used can transform your design and marketing efforts too.

Palo Alto, California – January 26, 2016 – The perfect packaging used to be in the eye of the designer, but thanks to digital printing, consumers can get in on the creative fun.

That point was driven home this holiday season when OREO parent company Mondelēz International rolled out OREO Colorfilled, an initiative that let customers create one-of-a-kind cookie packages. Cookie buyers chose from designs by graphic artists Jeremyville and Timothy Goodman and added their own personal flair in the form of colors, graphics and holiday greetings. The resulting personalized packages using HP Indigo digital print technology showcased a new and exciting way for designers to connect with their audience.

“The OREO Colorfilled campaign shows just how interactive design can be,” says Sabine Lenz, founder of PaperSpecs.com. “Mondelēz International and HP put the power of the color palette in consumers’ hands, and designers can apply similar techniques to engage their own audiences in fun and inspiring ways.”

Ready to empower your audience through design? This webinar will go behind-the-scenes of the OREO Colorfilled campaign, detailing how it went from a wild idea to the first step in a larger e-commerce strategy.

As the ‘Project Queen’ for the OREO Colorfilled campaign, Lauren Fleischer saw the project from its inception to conclusion. Fleischer, the brand manager for Global eCommerce at Mondelēz International, will share the challenges involved – and lessons learned — from the endeavor.

In order for the campaign to work, there needed to be an online environment that would delight consumers while meeting the company’s business requirements. Stephen Spencer, senior designer and inventor with Maya Design Group, will share how this objective was met.

The OREO Colorfilled campaign pushed the envelope when it came to design. With a knowledge of the latest in digital print technology, HP marketing executive Doris Brown-McNally will shed light on some of the other cutting-edge possibilities that have opened up for marketers and designers.
