When the talent of a designer is directed toward a charitable cause, it is quite simply a force for good like no other.
Award-winning designer Michael Osborne brings his invaluable personal experience to our free webinar “Giving Back with Design.”
Michael Osborne
Since 1981, Michael Osborne Design has undertaken hundreds of pro-bono design projects for nonprofit groups. A Sappi “Ideas That Matter” grant in 2008 spawned the project closest to Osborne’s heart – Joey’s Corner, a 501(c)3 charitable organization.
Through the lens of Joey’s Corner, Michael Osborne will share printed examples of the design work he’s donated, how he finds the time to give back and why he thinks it’s so important.
Webinar Highlights
Osborne will also provide helpful tips on the questions most designers have:
- How do I choose pro bono clients?
- Is the design process any different?
- Can I (should I?) charge for any of the work?
- How do I work with pro bono clients?
“Sappi believes that today, meaningful work is creating impact in the world around us … and I couldn’t agree more,” says Sabine Lenz, founder of PaperSpecs.com. “To support the ideas and desires of designers to pay it forward, we’ve collaborated with Sappi and Michael Osborne for a webinar that is personal, educational and inspiring. Michael’s creativity and practical insights will help designers think, today, about what they can do tomorrow.”
