On October 30, 2007, the Eagles will release 20 new studio recordings in a double album format. The CD cover for Long Road Out of Eden will be printed on Domtar Feltweave, a text and cover paper made with 30 percent postconsumer recycled content and part of the Domtar EarthChoice family.

Specifying paper from the EarthChoice line of environmentally and socially responsible papers reflects the band's commitment to sustainability and environmental causes. 

EarthChoice products are certified to the Forest Stewardship Council standards, publicly endorsed by the Rainforest Alliance, and approved by World Wildlife Fund and Forest Ethics.

The use of products from FSC-certified, well-managed forests has a great impact in conserving biodiversity and improving livelihoods in local communities.

The CD cover was designed by Smog Design in Los Angeles, CA and printed by Ivy Hill Packaging.

The album will be available exclusively at Wal-Mart and Sam's Club in the U.S. and Canada, and through Walmart.com, Samsclub.com and the band's Web site www.eaglesband.com.

The band was attracted to Wal-Mart because the retailer has recently unveiled simple and straightforward environmental goals, including selling products that sustain the earth's resources and the environment.

The Eagles have sold more than 120 million albums worldwide and were inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 1998.
