Before you succumb to the annual sunning and sipping syndrome (a.k.a. lazy days of summer), don’t forget to calendar up HOW’s International Design Awards competition. Deadline is September 1, 2009.

All winners will see their work in HOW’s April 2010 International Design Annual and get a $100 discount to the 2010 HOW Design Conference. One Best of Show winner will get a free trip to the 2010 HOW Design Conference (roundtrip airfare, hotel and conference registration) and an award to be presented at the conference.

Work must have been created between Jan. 1, 2008 and Sept.1, 2009. You’ll need to send two well-protected samples. They do not accept digital images or slides of print work, videos, CD-ROMs, DVDs, Web sites or other interactive work (that’s a different competition!).
