Turning 40 is a momentous for anyone. The Gap Inc. celebrated this milestone anniversary and a four-decade legacy with signature style inside the pages of its recent annual report.
The bold block type of the cover design typify what put this retailer on the cutting edge in 1969 and what makes the brand still relevant in 2009 – a clean, modern aesthetic with a sustainable conscience.
Designed in-house by Gap Inc. (San Francisco, CA), it was printed by an environmentally sustainable printer (Earth Thebault – Parsippany, NJ) using all UV inks, on FSC-certified Mohawk Superfine, Smooth, Ultrawhite 100 lb. text and cover. The cover is match gray + match blue + black, and the text is 2 special mix cool grays for duotones.
