The SGIA Golden Image Competition annually recognizes the most innovative work in the digital and screen printing marketplace. Entrants will be honored at the 2010 SGIA Expo (Las Vegas, October 13-15). Entries will be judged by a panel of industry peers who will determine a winner in each of the 40-plus categories, and every entry is considered for the “Best in Show” award (digital and screen printing) and the “Best in Creativity” award (digital printing).

Neenah Paper presents the “Your Time To Shine” contest, where you create a clock face on ESSE and OXFORD Papers. Choose your paper colors, order free sample sheets, create your best timepiece, and then upload an image file. The five posted clock face designs with the highest number of votes on October 1, 2010 will win the contest (and be used in Neenah’s next iPhone and iPad app).

Architects and designers of interiors, products, graphics and fashion are invited to submit their work for the awards consideration. Prizes include the International Design Awards trophy for the winning design in each discipline, certificates and inclusion in the IDA annual book of design for all the first and second place winners.

Appleton Coated’s U360 competition will honor the beginning, middle and end of the design process. Entries will be judged by a panel of design experts in strategy, design and print production, providing a full-circle view on what makes great print. There is no cost to enter. Submissions must be printed all, or in part, on Utopia and/or Curious Collection.
