Have Your Digital Space & Eat It Too
If you’re glad that the days of plain “vanilla or chocolate” are gone, but get a brain freeze at the thought of picking from 131 flavors, then Wausau Paper’s new Web site, Digital Space, may be for you.
The site offers practical tips on how designers can work together with printers on the wide assortment of considerations involved in successfully producing digitally printed projects.
A “Digital Compatibility Tool” is prominently featured and assists with paper selection via a system of print-fidelity ratings. Users select one of the four print project scenarios (like the type of image and level of ink/toner coverage) and one of four possible types of digital printing equipment options, and the compatible paper choices light up in red.
The majority of Wausau Paper’s papers are well suited for simple, light to moderate ink coverage jobs, but when the graphics become more complex, the rating system will help printers and designers select the paper suited for high print-fidelity results.
