This set of four coasters is a great marriage of form and function with a high note of technology thrown in for a delightfully balanced marketing piece. Letterpress is always a favorite of ours as is this thick and toothy white pulp board.
Including a two-dimensional quick response code really allowed the creative minds at Fizz to show their potential “spirits” clients just how successful marketing is done:
The coasters can be used in bars and restaurants or sent out in a direct mail campaign. Scanning the QR code gives said drinkers something fun to do – they can be directed to mobile sites for more information about a particular beer or wine, how the drink is made, food pairings, etc.
We so appreciated that the QR codes were not printed in black, but in colors that could be successfully scanned AND fit into a color palette that was actually designed – Yeah!
The unique patterns and styles were tied together nicely with the palette and bellyband. Extra kudos goes out because the back of the bellyband explained what the QR code was and how to use it!
