Process Colors on Finch Fine

Ink and paper are the most visible elements of printing, and Finch Paper’s latest promotion called “Process Colors on Finch Fine” features five common print technologies on its Finch Fine offering.

finchThe promo lets you easily compare the results from using conventional inks, conventional plus fluorescent yellow and magenta, UV inks, HP Indigo and Kaleido inks.

(For those not familiar with Toyo’s Kaleido inks, the commercial ink manufacturer touts the ability of its pigments to produce eye-catching results similar to 6- or 7-color printing via 4-color process printing. According to its Web site, Kaleido ink “expands the CMYK color gamut to nearly the full RGB range, resulting in richer, deeper color reproductions than those offered by conventional 4-color process inks.”)

Finch’s promo also gives helpful hints as to what to look for and where and when to hold back on ink coverage.
