As a thank you to its loyal ranks, AIGA Portland presented this 11-year perpetual calendar to its membership.
Inspired by Victorian paper crafting, it is a wonderful example of the gorgeous detail and richness you can achieve with expert letterpress printing on a sumptuously textured paper (Gruppo Cordenons Boutique So… Wool in Ivory Fleece 130 lb Cover).
Even more amazing are the type and illustrations – especially when you realize everything is drawn to scale by hand. The red and gold ink choices add warmth and nostalgia to the piece that comes complete with a diecut display stand.
And who can’t love its green pedigree: soy inks, sustainable paper, 11-year shelf life?! I have to say, officially of course, that this is one lovely time tracking device.
